Char Jolivette-Williams (pronounced "Shar"), is a Texas-born artist and actress based in Los Angeles, California.

Her practice spans sculpture, film photography, and collage. Currently, metal work is at the center of her practice.

On working with steel:

“I find working with steel to be very rewarding. Although steel can be thought of as rigid or unyielding, I see it as a flexible material full of possibilities. I also enjoy combining steel with unexpected materials, such as fur, hair, or fabric.”

Char’s works have been exhibited in selected galleries and spaces throughout Los Angeles—including Superchief Gallery, LA Tate Gallery, and Mile 44’s exhibition space.
